DESCRIPTION:Lulu’s + Meininger’s Art Club is a unique\, supportive space where attendees can create and discuss art every Monday nights. Bring your art supplies and get to work on your next creation! Anyone is welcome to come and work\, collaborate\, or just hang out and chat at the bar. Meininger Art Supply will be donating a box of different dry media for anyone to try out\, and we will also have a share box for donating art supplies for communal use. On top of hosting\, Lulu’s will also be having an all night happy hour. As we grow\, we’re hoping to have simultaneous mini events\, but for the time being come by and meet fellow creatives from your community! \nThe Montvales at Lulu’s Downtown on August 4 at 7 PM \nBorn and raised in Knoxville\, TN\, Sally Buice and Molly Rochelson of songwriter duo The Montvales spent much of their formative years busking amidst the Elvis impersonators and musical saw players of the town’s Market Square\, honing their uniquely boisterous harmonies and driving\, joyful sound. Eventually they graduated to playing indoors on the local Americana radio station\, WDVX\, and found community in old-time circles around town. A local fiddler’s dairy cows were among the first intrepid listeners of their early DIY recordings.

Duhon has a knack for telling the kind of stories that clearly cost the writer something to tell\, the kind of honesty that feels noble and never half hearted. Entertaining? Sure\, but when a song written by a stranger heals you\, even in the smallest way\, that’s a connection beyond entertainment\, and that is the journey Andrew Duhon sets out on from his home in Louisiana. His songs are about recognizing our story as much as they are about telling his\, and his coast to coast pursuits have given him a clearer view of the American Landscape than most are privy to.
