Core Culture Guided Tours
A variety of guided walking and biking tours let you explore the art and history of Downtown Colorado Springs! Special thanks to presenting sponsor, KRCC.
Choose from art and history tours, photography walks, urban "hikes" and even art tours by bike. Tours are offered year-round, and each lasts about an hour. Private tours for groups of 10 or more may also be reserved by calling 719-886-0088.
Spaces, Faces & Places Tours
Hour-long guided tours introduce the historic buildings, contemporary artwork, and cultural highlights of downtown. A rotating schedule allows you to choose to one, two, or all three of the series, in any order.
Tours are held the second Saturday of each month, and meet at 9:30 am at Wild Goose Meeting House, 401 N. Tejon Street. Pre-registration is advised. Participants are encouraged to arrive at 9:30am, enjoy a free coffee beverage of your choice (included in ticket price) with the tour beginning promptly at 10 a.m.

Artistic PLACES: Art on the Streets For 18 years, the annual Art on the Streets program has transformed our downtown streets into an outdoor sculpture gallery. Stops sample the currently installed pieces and offer insight into the artists behind them. (January 9, July 9, and October 8)
Historic FACES: Downtown Bronzes A collection of bronze figurative sculptures dot downtown’s corners and intersections. Learn the stories behind these artworks, the legendary civic founders they represent, and the downtown people and places that helped to shape our modern-day city. (February 13, May 14, August 13, and November 12)
Creative SPACES: The Art & Facts of Business Developed and led by Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum staff, this all-new tour introduces downtown’s historic architecture, pairing information about architectural styles with tales of the buildings’ histories and tenants . (March 12, June 11, September 10, and December 10)

Downtown Photography Walks
Explore downtown Colorado Springs from behind the lens. Join acclaimed photojournalist Bryan Oller for monthly lunchtime photography walks. Different locations and topics each month, all levels of photography and camera types are welcome. Participants should bring their own camera.
The hour-long walks are held monthly on the third Thursday at noon. 2016 dates are:
January 21, February 18, March 17, April 21, May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18, September 15, October 20, November 17, and December 15. Meeting locations and themes change monthly. Please download the 2016 schedule of meeting locations and themes here. NOTE: Due to unforeseen circumstances with the tour leader, the May 19 walk has been cancelled. Please join us again on June 16 for the next walk.
Tickets: $5 (cash only). Free for Downtown Partnership members (members call 719 886.0088 for details). No reservations required, but participation is limited to 15, and sign-up is first-come, first-serve at the tour. Tours are generally held regardless of weather, rain may cancel. In case of inclement weather, call Downtown Partnership at 11am the day of to confirm.
First Friday Downtown Bike Tour
Two Wheels, Unlimited Arts and Culture! Join UpaDowna’s outdoor adventure expert guides for a bike tour of downtown’s arts and cultural highlights on First Fridays. New routes each month feature stops at a variety of arts, history and cultural venues including gallery receptions, art openings, performances and more! These seasonal tours are held through the summer months, and the 2016 schedule will be announced soon!
Tickets: $10. Ticket includes use of an UpaDowna bicycle and helmet (or bring your own). Space is limited, advance registration is required. All bike tours begin at 5:30 p.m. at McCabe's Tavern, 520 S. Tejon Street. Riders should plan to arrive by 5pm to allow time for preparation for a 5:30 tour departure. Once a tour reservation has been made, you can reschedule your reservation for another future tour for no charge. Should you need to cancel your reservation, we are able to provide a refund less a 10% administrative fee, which will be deducted from your refund amount.
If a tour is cancelled by Downtown Partnership for severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of your ticket price will be provided.
